To me, being a solar advisor is about inspiring my community to help our planet. This is because when we all do our part to help out the planet, together, we all win. Solar is a revolutionary technology that has been around since 1839 and we're only now beginning to harness its full potential. I believe that as more people go solar that the opportunities and outcomes for our future generations will multiply in magnitude. While saving money is great, going solar is really an opportunity for our generation to leave behind a legacy.
"I have a B.Sc in Chemistry and Computer Engineering and I started my renewable energy career 6 years ago as a research scientist. As a researcher, I have been part of several research groups and have conducted extensive R&D into all things related to solar and energy storage. My most recent contribution was helping prototype the thinnest PV Storage Cell ever produced; this technology essentially combines a PV Cell (i.e. solar cell) with a lithium-ion layer (i.e. battery storage) in a single form factor. While I do love the science behind photovoltaics, I ultimately decided to transition out of academics and research to help educate my community about why solar is the best solution to fixing so many of the troubles we face. This is why it was important for me to partner with a company like Apricot, because they have a shared commitment to quality, safety, and integrity of service to their customers as I do to my community."
